Walked into a world of Poison Ivy and blew it all over the place while the weedeatin continued behind the SpringHouse. Heat's gettin to the old man but on i'll push. had some nice sweet potato fries for lunch...
guess Pure Country Gold and Adam Posnak have just about done their sets and Those Poor Bastards must be up next... hope the weather holds.

sweat through another shirt while BluesBoy Jag and Illinois John Fever play DBF '08, otherwise called the Deep Blues Festival held in Lake Elmo, MN today, and yesterday and tomorrow. Good Lord willin and the creek don't shut us in, we'll be headin out to a party tonight!

this just in... from the ground. yesterdays shows were awesome. great crowds and a good time. CuznWildweed torn it on up in the mornin.
the troops are getting set up and headin in to the festival grounds right now. they're an hour behind us here in the Old Dominion.
rumor is that rain is headed in and the forcast from here confirms that... but the good Lord may smile upon Chris Johnson for all his hard work and perseverance in bringin the sweet sounds of Deep Blues to the greater Twin Cities area.

I'll have to do a recap of yesterdays events later as I'm bound to keep up with the current doins at this time.
This mornin began w/ a big glass of coffee, cream, sugar and chocolate drops. this is somethin new to me but the dang things came into the kitchen and bein a curious sort, I dropped a couple in the brew. good too, once they get mixed in.
Out early to give the tomatoes a good soak before the hot of the day kicks in. the plants are lookin good and the trellisin instead of stakes or cages seems to be goin along just fine too. they took a beatin early as i let em lay on the ground a little long before i got em up in the air.
in for a little internet search on guitars. been lookin at a couple of things and maybe buildin a special Telecaster for the GoldenRogers... that's got a big spot in the Backseat.
A litle Eggs and toast later i'm out in the yard runnin the hell out of the Weedeater. Goin through spools of trimin string like it's goin outta style.
so that's when i start to think of how BAD i'm missin the Deep Blues Fest in Lake Elmo MN.
the bands are bout to get up and others laid out all over creation after a triumphant night of bein with the ones you love. look to the left for the dates and times...

Alright folks... many of us are strapped down by a lull in the economic situmacation and high gas prices. Like so many of us, I'm stuck here in the Old Dominion, otherwise recognized as the Commonwealth of Virginia, when I should be at this very moment at the Deep Blues Festival in Minnesota at Lake Elmo.
I was planning to go and work the show as a volunteer since our band the Golden Rogers didn't make the cut for the show this year. So sit close to the computer and wait for live updates on the goins on. I may even get a live report or two from the show.
